Data we collect

  • Audience measurement: Google Analytics and Jetpack statistics (WordPress.com): pages viewed, traffic source, device type. Google Analytics sets cookies.
  • Traffic statistics: to know which pages are read and where our visitors come from, our server logs each visit: the page, the site you came from, the browser type, the date and time, and your truncated IP address (its last two bytes are removed as soon as it is recorded, so you cannot be identified). When you click a link to a retailer (Amazon, Awin), we also record that click and the page it came from. No cookie is set and nothing is stored on your device for this measurement. An anonymous fingerprint, renewed every day, lets us count the visitors of a given day without recognizing you from one day to the next. This data is used only for statistics, is never sold or shared, and is kept for at most 400 days (legal basis: our legitimate interest in measuring the site’s audience).
  • Comments (if you leave one): the name and email address you provide.
  • Affiliate cookies: set by our partners when you click one of their links, to credit a possible commission.

Purposes and legal basis

Measuring our audience and improving our content (legitimate interest), managing comments (your request), enabling affiliate tracking (consent, through cookies). We never sell your data.

Recipients and transfers

Hosting: Hetzner Online GmbH, in Germany. Statistics: Google (Google Analytics) and Automattic (Jetpack), in the United States; our own traffic measurement stays on our server. Affiliate partners when you click their links. These transfers outside the European Union are covered by the safeguards these providers offer.

Retention periods

Statistics: each tool’s own retention period; our traffic measurement: 400 days at most. Comments: as long as they remain published. Cookies: see our Cookie Policy.

Your rights

You can access, correct, erase or port your data, and object to its processing. To exercise these rights, write to contact@toolizy.fr. You may also file a complaint with the CNIL (France) or with Belgium’s Data Protection Authority. The publisher’s details are in our legal notice.

The “QG Toolizy stats” Meta app

We use an internal Meta app, “QG Toolizy stats,” connected only to our own Facebook Pages and Instagram professional accounts (Toolizy, Atelier Malin, Beauté Maline, RobotAspirateurs, Toutoo). It does three things: publish and schedule our own posts; read the statistics of our own posts; and look up public posts by hashtag and public figures from professional accounts, in aggregate form (number of likes and comments), to spot the topics people care about.

This app collects no personal data from Facebook or Instagram users: no names, no profile pictures, no private messages. It keeps only totals and links to public posts, for 90 days at most, and shares them with no one. For any question or deletion request: contact@toolizy.fr.
